Stay Open for Something New

God desires to do something new in all of our lives. Even when we feel it the least, when disappointments happen and we go through hard times, He still desires to show Himself strong. Often times what keeps us from the new things He wants to do is not stepping out of our comfort zones. When we step out in faith and are willing to grow, to walk through doors when they open, to meet the new people God places in our lives and when we take advantage when new opportunities when they come, that's when God does exciting things in our lives. You're not too old, and you haven't made too many mistakes to see God do something new in your life. He knows how to get you to your final destination and how to connect the dots. When one dream dies, dream another dream. Just because something didn't work out one way doesn't mean God doesn't have another plan; nothing has to destroy your future. God has something new for you! The key is to sir up what He has placed on the inside and to be willing to get out of your comfort zone. When you get excited about life again and step out when doors open, you will see the newness of God in your life in ways you could never even imagine! It's time to believe again. If you'll stay open for something new, God is going to bring you out to your brightest hour. Your greatest victories are not behind you, they are in front of you!

Speaking Faith Into Your Future

Our words have creative power. With our words, we can either bless or curse our future. If you want to know what you're going to be like 5 years from now, listen to what you're saying about yourself; even the small things you say over your life from "I'll never get that promotion" to "I'm just so tired all the time." The moment we verbalize a thought, whether positive or negative, we give that thought the right to come to pass. To see God's best in your life, you have to stay on the offensive and speak victory over your life. The Bible says, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." It's not enough just to "not speak anything negative." You have to take it a step further and speak victory over your life. You can't speak defeat and expect to have victory. There is a correlation between what we say and what God does, but nothing happens until we speak our faith out. When we speak God's Word, the moment His promises come out of our mouth, something happens in the unseen realm. We may not see it for a week, a year or even ten years, but God is working behind the scenes. If you will keep saying the right thing, speaking victory, speaking favor, speaking health and wholeness; the seeds you're sowing, you will reap. In due season, you will eat the fruit of your words, and God is going to make all your crooked places straight.

Some Things are Good to Have, but Not to Own

I keep telling my friends and families, "Some things are good to have, but not to own." I think that this statement can be very helpful when it comes to make most decisions. I will spend more time to find more supporting articles and do more research on this topic. At this point, I have found an interesting article from Smart Money September 2008 issue called 10 Things Millionaires Won't Tell You. Point number 8 says,

Why spend $3,000 on a Versace bag that'll be out of style as soon as next season when you can rent it for $175 a month? For that matter, why blow $250,000 on a Ferrari when for $25,000 it can be yours for a few weekends a year? Clubs that offer "fractional ownership" of jets have been popular for some time, and now the concept has extended to other high-end luxuries like exotic cars and fine art. How hot is the trend? More than 50 percent of millionaires say they plan to rent luxury goods within the next 12 months, according to a survey by Prince & Associates. Handbags topped the list, followed by cars, jewelry, watches and art. Online companies like Bag Borrow or Steal, for example, cater to customers who always want new designer accessories and jewelry, for prices starting at $15 a week.

For Suzanne Garner, a millionaire software engineer in Santa Clara, Calif., owning a $100,000 car didn't make financial sense (she drives a Mazda Miata). Instead, Garner pays up to $30,000 in annual membership fees to Club Sportiva, a fractional-ownership car club in San Francisco that lets her take out Ferraris, Lamborghinis and other exotic vehicles on weekends. "I'm all about the car," she says. And so are other people, it seems. While stopped at a light in a Ferrari recently, Garner received a marriage proposal from a guy in a pickup truck. (She declined the offer.).

As I have mentioned several days ago, iPhone can become very helpful when it comes to productivity. Its applications provide great helps from "finding the closest McDonald's around you" to "Manage Your Monthly Budgets". As I surfed BargainBin on April 4th, 2009, I found another great application called "Project Manager says…".

The application is a small piece of software that provides a collection of project management proverbs that will be chosen randomly from a database. Some proverbs are just entertaining and some are really worth thinking about and sometimes they are even very educating. As we all know that there is no "holidays" for learning. We are all learning new things every day. Whether it is "How to peel an apple" or "How to become the best Project Manager". I know of some Project Managers from a various type of industries and am amazed of the things that they have to deal with and things that they have to learn in day-to-day bases. I am not saying that it is the best job to have, but it is one of the most fun jobs to have. According to Wikipedia,

A project manager is a professional in the field of project management. Project managers can have the responsibility of the planning, execution, and closing of any project, typically relating to construction industry, architecture, computer networking, telecommunications or software development. Many other fields in the production, design and service industries also have project managers.

As a Project Manager, you always have to try to find ways to work faster, cheaper, and more efficient. In between of all the tasks, however, you still need to have a relax moment once in awhile. Well, I believe "Project Manager says…" application can lighten your day as a Project Manager or give you an extra knowledge of "What a Project Manager Would Say". Its contents are randomly chosen from its database every time you open the application or simply hit the big-inviting-button in the middle of the screen. Once again, iPhone applications becomes more and more helpful for us to become more productive! … Well, at least, to some of us who has an iPhone …
